Archbishop Molloy Council #1974 received its Charter in July 1919 in answer to a request from then Our Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church Pastor, Rev John L. O’Toole. Rev. O’Toole wanted the Knights of Columbus to counteract the considerable influence of the Ku Klux Klan in and around the Freeport Village area. The K of C continues to serve the OHR and Freeport Communities since then.
This web site is one of the oldest continously operating K of C websites in the world. It was the first K of C website in New York State and is the home council of the award winning Knightsite K of C International Web Directory.
